Halloween 2008

We had such a fun Halloween. Not many pictures with Marsh he was out having fun with his buddies. Can't believe the incredible weather we had it was great. We spent time at a neighbors playing in the leaves, chatting and enjoying good food. Lots of trick or treating, Kendall got tired pretty fast and a neighbor "saved the day "she said and let Chuck borrow a umbrella stroller for her to come home in. (funny girl) And of course no Halloween is complete with out a bowl of good home made chili.

HSM3

Music is such a enormous part of my life. I remember back when I was a kid and watching musicals with my Dad or listening to records with my Mom. I love how no matter what happened in my life I have a song some how attached to that event. I love that music can take me back to precious memories or even funny goofy times. Music has comforted me helped me feel the spirit and even made me cry.

When I was a kid I loved the Donny and Marie show I thought the Osmonds were so cool.  I remember how no matter who the group was my Mom always took an interest in what I liked she would listen to my records with me. I still remember the first primary song she taught me. My parents really instilled in me a huge love for music. Anyway that brings me to this week end.

Finally the long awaited day came the opening to High School Musical 3 Senior Year. I know that I now have lost half of you or you are rolling your eyes, but let me tell you it was awesome to watch their little faces especially Noelle's.  She sings and dances and has a love for these movies that I truly understand. I love sharing this with all of them. The theater was filled with little girls and their Mom's and the occasional Dad.

One of the best parts of the movie was when Kendall said to me "I think I am going to cry." How funny is that she actually felt sad for Troy and Gabriella.  I would go see this movie again I actually think it completed the set perfectly.
Afterwards we met Chuck for dinner where he heard every detail of the Movie.
Notice how we all had to wear Red and White. Go Wildcats!!!!
I hope that when my kids grow up they will have fond memories of all the crazy things we do. Like our dance offs or when they are being ornery we say its time to live in a musical if you want or need to talk you have to sing it, never fails before long they are smiling and forgot what they where upset about. My wish is that they will always have a love for music.

Marshals Fall Choir Concert

Marshal had his first choir concert for the school year. He performs at a high school that is forever away from our house. He has to be there quite a bit before the concert so why we waited I was chatting with a friend and the girls snuck the camera out of my jacket and had a great time. They took over 20 pictures of everything from themselves to the ceiling lights but these were my two favorites. Who doesn't love a self portrait.
Here is Marsh in his choir get up. They did a really good job. I can't believe how much things have changed since I was his age. We just wore nice church clothes when I was in Jr high choir. I love how he takes a interest in so many different things.

Party Animal

Last week we went to a party at my cousins house. I have always heard that every party needs a party animal. Well we had several. I am not sure if everyone enjoyed the party as much as these little animals.
I wish I would of gotten a picture of Kendall in the Gorilla suit with a pirate cape on, It was so funny I could not stop laughing. Easton would of worn the rhino costume home if we would of let him.

5th Grade Volcano Project

Charly and her friend Paigley  teamed up to make their volcano they had a good time creating it. It was the only volcano that had glitter on it, what a girl thing. They made it out of clay, painted it and put all kinds of trees and dinosaur's on it and of course a blue shinny river around the base of the volcano.

Kendall's first Field Trip

I think my kids love this blog more than I do. Kendall has been asking for a week when I am going to post about her field trip. (I think it is hilarious she knows what a post is.)

Last week was Kendall's very first field trip.  And the anticipation almost got the better of her. She could hardly wait every five minutes I heard "Is it time to go?" and "Mom we can not be late."  After the longest few hours of her life we were off to the pumpkin patch.

Kendall was the first to pick her pumpkin they told the kids to find whatever pumpkin they would like and then raise there hand and someone would be there to help them cut it off the vine. She jumps off the truck runs to the very first pumpkin she sees and raises her hand. The workers were shocked because normally it takes the kids several minutes to find the perfect pumpkin. I told her she could look around and she said nope I had my eye on this one. Who can argue with that I thought.

They have this large slide that Kendall loved I had a hard time getting her off it. It was funny to watch the boys in her class they either bawled the whole way down or would not go on it. Kendall asked this one kid why he was such a wuss. (what is the proper way to spell that?) I was a little embarrassed by that. you could tell she is the youngest.

They also had little pig races that she loved.
They would have the kids pick a pig to route for and if your pig won they would have you raise your hand then they said now take your other hand and give
yourself a high five. We now hear this often around the house when someone does something good.

We had a great time. This child definitely brings the fun factor to our house.

Three Long Years

So you would think when you are almost 38 that you would be able to deal with your Mom being gone. Today marks three years since her passing.  The past several months have been the hardest for me I am not sure why (although I do have several theory's)

Today my sister and our kids took flowers to her grave. We were hoping to go do a session at the temple but they are closed on Mondays. My Dad sent me a neat e-mail today that I really needed.  Although it did make me cried, but lets be serious before the day was over we all knew that was going to happen.  The past couple of weeks I have really wished my Mom could of been here for Noelle's baptism.  I will really miss her being the first phone call on my birthday and the silly things she would do. She always gave me a bag of pixie sticks on my birthday, which I miss.  I know I will get to see her again, but Man some days it seems like forever. I know I am extremely blessed to have had her as long as I did. I listen to some of my friends talk about there relationship with there Mom and I am eternally grateful for the wonderful relationship I had with my Mom. She was a good woman and a awesome example I hope I can be half the women she was. I know she was not perfect but she tried.

I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!

Noelle's Baptism

Noelle finally was baptised yesterday. She thought the day would never get here. She looked so cute in her white dress.

She has been so worried about the height of the water in the font, she even chuckled when she walked down the stairs and the water was to her shoulders and that was with her on her tip toes. She made it though and it was not nearly as scary as she had anticipated.

She then was confirmed a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or so she thought. She had to be confirmed twice because her dad forgot to say we confirm you a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She thought that was pretty neat because now she has a story to tell.

My girls don't wear the typical white dress when they are confirmed because our white dress is one that I make for them to be baptized in. She picked a pretty deep purple dress.

I am very proud of Noelle she has been so excited to become a member. I have enjoyed watching her get ready for this important day. She was very prepared to make this decision. I know that she has a strong testimony of her Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ I love how simple and pure her love and understanding of the gospel is.

I am also so very grateful of my testimony of the gospel. I am very blessed to have such a great support system. I have struggled the past several months and the biggest lesson I have learned is how many people I am blessed to have in my corner.  I have a amazing Husband and kids, an incredible sister who would do almost anything for me. Brothers who I dearly love, extended Family, neighbors who are more than neighbors to me and last but not least a group of women who I have come to know and love over the past year who have really helped me. Thanks to all of you.  I appreciate all of your friendships and the support you gave to Noelle on her important day. Thank you for realizing how much love this special little girl needs and for sharing it with her.

Fire prevention week

My Kids love Fire Prevention week. The fire house by our house does all kinds of fun activities. You get to try using a fire hose, tours of the fire house, watch them put out a fire, ride a fire truck and so on.

Kendall loved the life flight helicopters. She kept asking the pilot to take her in the sky.

Every year Noelle hopes she can ride in a fire truck, but normally you just get to sit in it and check it out. This year if you brought a can of food you would get a ride.So we waited in line for about a half hour and the closer we got I noticed they were using two fire trucks and then one water tank truck. I told Marshal watch after waiting all this time we will get the water truck so I told him to start talking how cool that truck was in case we got that one. The plan did not work because when it was our turn sure enough we were in the water truck and Noelle did not think that was cool at all.  She did love when they turned the lights and sirens on though.

This is the kids in the truck.
