First Day of School

Noelle could not wait for school to start this morning. She has had her outfit picked out and laying on her floor since last Wednesday.
All three of them just before I took the girls to school
Marshal does not have to be to school till 10 today. his school has just the 7th graders come the first couple hours so they can walk through where all there classes are etc. He loved that he was not in a big hurry to get out of the house today.

All four kids are ready to get back to having a schedule. Yesterday for family Home Evening we talked about what we liked about last year and what we could do to improve this year. They each made a few goals for the year.  Noelle took her goals pretty serious and thought long and hard about what she could do to help her not get so frustrated. I am proud of her she has come a long way this summer.

Charly's teacher looked like he just graduated from High School ( you know you are getting old when) He was a student teacher last year so this is his first year. She is so excited to be in fifth grade. I loved watching her this morning, she is such a kind hearted girl who loves life she said hi to everyone (my little social butterfly) and when she would see younger kids that looked like they needed help she was right there showing them where there class was. I learn a lot from her.

Sometimes I have a hard time believing that I am the Mom let alone that Marsh is going to Eighth grade. I hope that he has a good year. He is bummed that he does not have any classes with his buddies. I don't worry about that just hope he keeps a good attitude (he is a teenager they have a hard time doing this at times.)

And in a couple weeks Kendall will be off to Pre- school she can hardly wait.

Where does all the time go?

Summer Time

I can not believe the summer is almost over. Although we were not able to go on our vacation as planned we had a good time. Here are some of our everyday activities.

Hanging with our Friends

We spent some time at the Discovery Center with some of our friends. We had so much fun and I loved that there was enough Moms to keep an eye on all the little ones.

Charly and her friend Rhett took the pictures of all the kids but our favorite is of Max, most of the kids did not like to stop playing to smile but Max has obviously been trained.

Football season is finally here!!!

We are so excited that football season is here. Marshal had his first scrimmage game against Farmington last week and did really well. We had our first game on Saturday, the Defense did really well.  Marshal had some really good tackles. They did lose 19 - 7 Are offense gave up 14 points to interceptions and one kick return. Hopefully next week will be better.

Messages in the Lawn

Monday when Marshal was mowing the lawn he asked me to come and check to see if he had done a good job.  I thought that was odd since he mows the lawn all the time. So I started to go to inspect the back lawn when Marshal was about to have a coronary and tells me to check the front yard.  This is what I saw in our front lawn.  For those who can't see it, it says MOM.
What a good boy!!

Trip to St. George

Last weekend we headed to St. George for my Dads mission farewell. We had a lot of fun. Marshal thought the greatest part was that we stayed in a motel that looked like Earls from the show my name is Earl (The humor of a 13 year old) It was a nice to get away for a couple of days, the only thing that could of made it better was if all my siblings could of been there. My favorite part of the montage is the last few pictures I think it says it all on how successful the trip was.

Where is your Smile

On Sunday Kendall was having a moment and I asked her where she left her smile, which generally follows with in my pocket. Well this day she refused to believe her smile was any where in the house. She insisted she left it at church, so I told her well I have a special smile just in case she ever lost it and I pulled out this paper with a smile on it and taped it to her face.
Needless to say we found her real smile and all is well again.

Kendall's Birthday!!!

Kendall had a great Birthday. Chuck and I took her out to dinner all by herself which she thought was so cool every time we pass the restaurant she tells the kids how she got to eat there with just Mom and Dad.

I was afraid this Birthday would be a downer since we were suppose to be in disneyland but she loved every minute of it especially having all her Aunts and Uncles and cousins over. I can't believe she is 4
