Science Projects, Field Trips, Report Cards & Basketball

I have some catching up to do. Some weeks get me and I just can't find a minute to sit down at the computer.

Noelle is playing Basketball this year. They are 1-1 so far. It is so funny to watch them play between the girls who take five steps every time they have the ball and the totally useless referee's it is quite entertaining. She is half the size of any girl on her team but that does not seem to stop her. She is really enjoying herself.

Kendall went on a field trip last week to a local grocery store.

This is her with her two friends. Yes she is pretty short but in all fairness these other two girls are 7 months older. It was funny to watch the three of them they never let go of each others hands the whole time.

Science Fair - First off I think the science fair is nothing but a cruel way to torture the parents i am positive the teachers secretly use this to get back at all parents.

This year I had two kids who needed to do a projects. So we picked a project that they could both do at the same time. They had four plants and feed them all different types of fertilizer to determine which kind worked the best.

Charly completed her time on the project last week and poor Marshal still has a month to go.

By the way at this point in time Osmocote granules is growing the prettiest plant. Second would be no fertilizer.

Last week the kids received report cards and they all did well but I have to give Charly Kudos another strait A Report card. She is a very good student and works really hard at her grades. Congratulations Charly!

Another photo shoot for Kendall

I have a friend who is an amazing photographer she has a studio in her home. AHM Photography go check it out. Any way I have pros and cons to being able to run over and get a picture taken whenever.

Pro - Look how dang cute she is in this photo. It was a new outfit and I would not let her wear it until we could get over and have our picture taken. I think she is so stinking cute. I know I am so bias.

Con -  I want to buy them all UGH! I am learning to say only take a few.
This was my favorite one.

Marshal's Birthday

I think Marshal was a little concerned about his birthday because normally when the kids wake up on their birthday the presents are wrapped. This year when he woke up he did not see any presents and he left to school acting as if this was going to be a terrible Birthday.

When his dad arrived home from work we opened his presents. First from the girls and then we blind folded him and took him outside to see what his present from Chuck and I. he was very surprised. and loves it.

His Birthday turned out much better than he thought it would after he rode his bike for awhile Chuck and I took him out to dinner. He chose Famous Daves he loves Bar B Q Ribs. Than the next day
after a YM/YW planning breakfast he and his Dad headed to the slopes they had a great time.  The weather was perfect and although the snow was a little bit icy they loved it and came home in one piece. Then they headed to a Jazz game where they won. YEAH!

It is amazing how fast time goes he is 14 WOW some reason that really took me by surprise. Sunday he was ordained a teacher. Chuck is a little bummed that he is not in scouts with him anymore but that's life always changing.

Any way here is a picture of him on his Mini Bike I think Chuck is living through Marshal a little bit. He always wanted one of these.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARSHAL

Happy Birthday Marsh! I can not believe how fast the time goes. It really does not seem that long ago when you were just learning to walk. Marsh we are so proud to have you as our son. You are a unbelievable young man, I know I am incredibly bias but I hope you know how grateful we are to have you in our family. You are such a good example with a big heart. You are becoming quite the gentleman. Enjoy life and remember to dream big. wink wink!

Traditions

I am really big on traditions to say the least. I love telling my kids the stories of when I was young and how much fun I had doing some of the same things I do with them now. Chucks family did not really have any traditions that he knows of so we do a lot of my family's traditions and a bunch that Chuck and I have come up with on our own.

One of our traditions is fondue I loved it as a kid and my kids think it is really cool. We do it every New Years Day and of course no fondue meal is complete with out one of the best recipies my Mom had Super Salad. You can ask any of my
brothers or Sister and they would love me to make it for them today.
We had a great time and Kendall wants to know if we can pretend it is new Year's Eve next week so we can do it again.

I really enjoy that we have events that the kids count on every year I can't believe how fast time moves on. I am sure soon enough the kids will rather be off with there friends but for now I am enjoying every minute and hope they will have lasting memories to hold on too. And of course a few good meals along the way.

New Years Eveays

I decided to have a last minute New years Eve party. Colle, Chad and the kids and Kyle and Melissa were able to come.

We had a good time hanging out, we had all kinds of yummy food to eat and Uncle Kyle was very entertaining for the kids. We also learned that if you are going to play any sort of game you need to have Charly play with you. I think some of us laughed so hard we got tears in our eyes.

And of course the kids loved the poppers, we did them a little early because we were hoping to convince them it was New Years Eve earlier than it was but in the end we were having to much fun to get them to bed early.
